 Hello All!!

Hope everyone is enjoying the Spring weather, other than the scare of the tornados in Eastern Oklahoma this past weekend.  Although I must admit I myself am ready for summer.

Here at Bell Plumbing we have been extremely busy!!  and that is an understatement to put it point blank.  For the past few weeks I have been telling all of my customers that need small repairs or sewer and drain cleanouts that we are at least 2 weeks behind, I am here to tell you all something…OUR CUSTOMERS ARE GREAT!!  They are all willing to wait for their turn to get some plumbing issues resolved.  I try to refer them all to someone that can get there quicker and they ALL say they will wait their turn.  A BIG THANK YOU to all of our loyal customers in Western Oklahoma, especially where we are located in Burns Flat and other small communities close by.  Our Service Department is taking on a small construction job for Superior Well Services in Clinton Oklahoma.  Their company is growing daily.  We are installing an Acid Dock and Offices for them.  We are happy to work with such a growing company, and wish them lots of luck!!

In our Construction Department we have been extremely busy.  We have recently finished up some of the jobs that have been ongoing in the Elk City Oklahoma area.  We finished Great Plains Regional Medical Center Clinic located near Great Plains Regional Medical Hospital. We are also finished, for the most part, at First National Bank in Elk City Oklahoma.  Still under construction is Infinistar Services in Elk City Oklahoma.  We have also recently started 2 New projects in the western Oklahoma area.  Seiling School District  in Seiling Oklahoma and Reydon School District in Reydon Oklahoma.  We have also given some Bids on some other big construction jobs in the western oklahoma area.

We have recently gotten a new face here at Bell Plumbing.  I would like to announce that David Walker, a long time resident of Burns Flat is now working with us.  He works with Gene Fergason in the Service Department.  They are staying busy busy!!

In our Construction Department we have Robert Walker and Jeff Bell with the help of Gary Bell from time to time.  As you already read above they are extremely busy as well.

We have recently moved into our new office and it is working out very nicely.  We are located at the same location at 260 South 2nd Street.  Just North of ’The Green’s Golf Course and the new Willie’s Restaurant that is opening soon, and North of SWODA, just south of Clinton-Sherman Air Base.  We have a good view of the world’s largest air strip right out our back door.

Here at Bell Plumbing we try to take care of our customers plumbing needs in a timely manner.  If you have any questions about plumbing or need some advice on some minor repairs that you can do yourself, give us a call.

 Until next time,

Shelia Fergason/Office Manager

Hello everyone!!

Spring is getting here quick and I will be one of those people to welcome it with open arms.  All this cold weather is almost out of here finally.

With Spring, this brings budding trees and expanding roots, which may try to grow into your outside sewer line.  Roots absorb water in the growing cycle and most times they find that water by growing through a crack in a sewer pipe.  Once inside the sewer line, the roots spread and eventually cause the blockage of water in the plumbing system. Drain cleaning equipment can clear small roots, but after many years, the sewer may need to be replaced.  Recently we have encountered several of those problems, and had to replace many sewer lines in our area.

Other inside plumbing tips are as follows for Spring:

Check all faucets for drips and leaks

Check toilets for hidden leaks, one for sure way to check your toilet is to add 6 drops of food coloring to the tank and wait 30 minutes to check and see if the water is discolored.

Ensure all drains have strainers to prevent hair, soap and other debris from clogging the drain lines.

Check setting on water heaters and make sure it is functioning properly.  A good water heater will last up to 15 years but is recommended to be replaced at that time if not sooner.

Pour water into infrequently used drains to fill the trap and prevent odors from entering the house.  Slow floor drains should be snaked to ensure they will carry water quickly in the event of a flood.

Check exposed pipes under sinks and in the basement for signs of leaks.

Check outdoor spigots and hose bibbs to make sure water flows freely.  If an outdoor faucet drips or if there is leakage inside your home the first time the hose is turned on, you may have had a frozen pipe that cracked and needs to be replaced.

Our Service Department is going full speed ahead!!  We have been busy with sewer line replacements and sewer cleanouts for the last month or so.  Have a few customers that we are working on their home projects at this time and should have them finished up before too long.

Our Construction Department is going non-stop as well.  We were recently awarded a job in Seiling Oklahoma.  It is the Seiling Gymnasium and we should be starting it in the next few weeks.  We are still in the Elk City Oklahoma area as well with the following jobs:  Great Plains Regional Medical Center-Dr’s Clinic, Infinistar Services, First National Bank and some new home construction for Ron Stamm/Stamm Builders.  In Hammon Oklahoma we are currently working on the new Hammon City Office, and a new house as well.  We are also working in Reydon Oklahoma on a project as well.  So as you can tell we here at Bell Plumbing are BUSY BUSY BUSY!!

As always, we aim to please our customers.

Here’s hoping that everyone has a Blessed Easter and a great start to the upcoming season of ‘SPRING’.

Happy Day to you all!!

Hope everyone is staying warm these days.  The weather cant make up its mind to be cold or warm.

Here at Bell Plumbing, we have been really busy with Sewers and Drains being stopped up, Water Heaters going out on people, and as always those frozen pipes and outdoor spigots.  It is easy to forget to re-wrap those outdoor faucets when you use them on those nice days, but you must remember.  That is the only way to prevent them from freezing on those cold nights.

We have made some changes in our employees over the past few months.  We have a great crew now and we are hoping for a better future here at Bell Plumbing.  We would like to welcome Cheri Bentley, an Apprentice, with several years experience in the plumbing trade.  Our staff now includes the following:  Gary Bell, Shelia Fergason, Robert Walker, Gene Fergason, Jeff Bell and Cheri Bentley.  We have a couple of apprentices who are studying to take their Journeyman test, so we wish them luck !!

Our Service Work is of course staying very busy as I mentioned above.  Our Construction Department is as always busy busy busy.  We are currently working in the Elk City Oklahoma area on the following jobs:  Infinistar Services, Great Plains Regional Medical Center Dr.’s Offices, First National Bank, and some house projects as well.  We are also working in Hammon Oklahoma on the new City Offices.  There are other jobs that we are finishing up on soon.

For those of you that have noticed our new building outside of our shop, that is our new office.  It should be ready in as little as 2 weeks.  That is something that we have looked forward to for some time now.  If you want to see pictures of the progress you may go to www.myspace.com/bellplumbingllc.  That is another site of ours that we sorta play around with from time to time.  I need to post some employee pictures on there soon as well.

As usual, we here at Bell Plumbing would like to wish you a good day and a Happy Valentine’s Day!!

Have a Great Week!!!

As usual, did you make sure your outside hydrants are covered? Don’t want to have a problem with them leaking or freezing, so wrap them up tight.

Keep faucets with a steady drip if it is freezing temperatures.

 Merry Christmas to you all!!

Here at Bell Plumbing we have been very busy as usual.  We have had alot of calls about frozen pipes, water heaters and sewer/drain cleanouts.  This is the season, for some reason that plumbing goes haywire.   With added strain on your plumbing due to the high volume of traffic in your restrooms during the holidays, any of these problems can occur.

We are still extremely busy in our Construction Department.  We still have alot of ongoing jobs in the Elk City, Oklahoma area.  We was awarded contracts for the Reydon School Project in Reydon, Oklahoma; and also awarded contracts for Hammon City Offices in Hammon, Oklahoma.  Those jobs should be starting up very soon.  Other jobs that are still in progress are:  First National Bank-Elk City, Oklahoma; Great Plains Regional Medical Center Clinic-Elk City, Oklahoma; Infinistar Services-Elk City, Oklahoma; Integris Clinton Regional Hospital MRI Room-Clinton, Oklahoma;  and a custom house in Elk City, Oklahoma for Bill Smith.

So as you can tell we are still currently working towards getting some of these jobs completed as soon as time allows us to.  With all the nasty weather we have been getting it has delayed our progress on each jobsite.

So with all of this in mind, we all here at Bell Plumbing wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year ahead.

Gary Bell, Shelia Fergason, Robert Walker, Gene Fergason, Clifford Hovey, Jeff Bell and our newest employee Charles Braecklein.

We would also like to welcome Charles aboard!!!  Glad to have him here with us.

Happy Holidays to you all!!

Hall Construction.  In the Clinton area we are working on the following job….Clinton Intergris MRI Room.  In Sayre we are currently working at Trinity Church.

In our Construction Department, we currently have the following employees…Robert Walker, Chris Riley and Jeff Bell.  Keeping our Service Department caught up is Cliff Hovey and Gene Fergason.

In our Service Department we have been busy with water heaters, outdoor spigots, and our fair share of sewers and drains.  Keep in mind this is the time of year for tree roots to be active.  And also remember it is the time of year to cover outdoor spigots.  We are fixing to have some really cold weather coming up, so make sure all outdoor plumbing is safe from a freeze.

Once again, I would like to praise Robert Walker for a job well done on his Journeyman test!!  :)

As always….Have a safe and happy month!!!

Until next time

Bell Plumbing Tips & News

October 17th, 2007

Hello All,

Hope everyone has been enjoying this cooler weather.

As we can all tell, the cold winds of Autumn is slowly creeping across the state and isn’t too late to go around the house and prepare for the bone-chilling winds and icy elements of winter.

Doing the following simple tasks will help keep the cold out and will help your house use less energy, possibly saving you alot of cash in the process.

Check your windows and doors

Air leaking through windows should be checked to make sure that the caulk and/or weather stripping around them isn’t cracked or missing.  If it is, replace with the new caulk available at  your local home improvement stores.  Don’t forget to check the caulk around utility entry points, outdoor spigots and windows in basements and garages.  In addition, if you have them, storm windows should be cleaned, checked for cracks, and placed over windows.

For doors, make sure it has weather stripping along the bottom and around the side of the door.  When closed, you shouldn’t feel any air passing between the door and the frame.  If you do, install new weather stripping around the door.  For storm doors, remove the summer screen and replace with a storm window, making sure the door closes snugly against the frame.

Turn off and drain outdoor spigots

To prevent water damage caused by frozen pipes, turn off and drain outdoor spigots.  To do this, turn off the inside shutoff valve and open the outside water spigot.  This will allow any water in the system to drain.  If there is a drain plug attached, open it so that all the water can drain from the system.

We have had a very busy month.  In our Construction Department, we have been very busy keeping up with the scheduled jobs.  Recently we have been working in Elk City, Oklahoma.  We have several ongoing jobs such as; First National Bank-remodel, Great Plains Regional Medical Center-Doctors Offices, and Infinistar Services should be up and going before too long.  In Sayre, we are currently working on Trinity Church.

In our Service Department we are busy as usual.  We service Burns Flat, Dill City, Sentinel, Cordell, Rocky, Clinton, Hobart, Foss, Butler, Canute, Elk City, Hammon, Sayre, and Sweetwater.  As you can tell, we travel to alot of places for our customers.  We value and appreciate our customers and are always open for more new customers.

As always, we appreciate you stopping by our website and we hope everyone stays  warm, happy and healthy during the upcoming seasons.

Until next time…..Have a Safe and Happy Week.

Bell Plumbing Fall Tips

September 10th, 2007

September 6, 2007

Hello all,

It is now September, where has this year gone?

It is time to start thinking about winterizing projects…for example:  covering exposed pipes, checking heaters, and now is a good time to start removing water hoses from wall hydrants and draining hoses to keep them from freezing.  Any outdoor project you may have, needs to be finished up and winterized.

Fall is the time that tree roots are active, so you may need to start taking those precautions as well.  To keep roots from being so active you can get a root killer to put in your drains to help slow the growth during this season.

As always, if you experience some of these problems, you may give us a call and we would be happy to take care of it or answer any questions you may have.

Until next time,

Everyone have a Happy & Safe week

Bell Plumbing Summer Tips

August 15th, 2007

Listed below are a few summer plumbing tips to remind everyone what should be done with plumbing or plumbing fixtures.

 1.  Heavy summer rains can make the ground resettle causing the outside water supply pipe to pull apart at the house foundation and leak into the ground.  This may cause basement flooding.

2.  When you are away overnight(or on vacation) shut off water to the house at the main valve.  If your water heater has a vacation setting use that instead of shutting off the gas to the heater.

In the future we will be posting some tips for your use.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

Until next time….Have a Safe and Happy Week
